What these technologies do
Cookies are small pieces of data a website can ask your browser to retain and return with later requests. LocalStorage keeps site-specific information in your browser until it is removed. Neither technology is necessary for reading the editorial pages or using the supplied operations-note tool.
Storage used by the site code
The site's editorial JavaScript does not set cookies, write localStorage, load analytics or initialise advertising services. Navigation state and scroll-reveal state exist temporarily in page memory. Images, styles and scripts are served as local website resources rather than embedded third-party services.
A separately provided consent interface, where present, may store your choice so that it can be respected on later visits. That preference is distinct from permission to activate optional tracking. Accepting a preference prompt does not, by itself, mean that this site's editorial code adds analytics or advertising.
The local note tool
Text entered on the Contact page is processed in the current page and is not saved by the tool to browser storage. Copy writes the reviewed text to your clipboard only after you choose that action and your browser permits it. Download creates a plain-text file only when requested. These actions are not message submissions.
Your browser may offer autofill or form restoration independently of the tool. Clipboard history, downloaded files and device backups are controlled by your own software and settings. Clear or delete those copies on your device if you no longer need them.
Your controls
You can inspect and remove cookies and localStorage through your browser's site-data or privacy settings. Blocking site storage should not prevent the supplied editorial pages from working. Clearing a stored consent preference may cause a separately provided preference interface to ask again.
Use your browser's download manager or file manager to remove exported notes. Clearing cookies does not delete downloaded files or clear every clipboard manager. External websites linked from these pages have their own storage practices and controls.
